Investments in SaskWorks Venture Fund are eligible to receive a 35% tax credit (15% Federal and 20% Provincial) on an investment of up to $5,000. The tax credits received on investments made in the first sixty days of 2017 are eligible to be applied toward the investor’s income tax return for 2016. The last day to invest for the 2016 tax year is the earlier of when the Fund hits its $40 million provincially mandated sales cap, or March 1st, 2017. Saskatchewan residents that are interested in using SaskWorks as part of their income tax planning should invest early in order to ensure that they are able to invest before the fund hits its $40 million sales cap.

PFM Capital Inc., the fund manager of SaskWorks Venture Fund, is pleased to announce its involvement in the Saskatchewan Financial Literacy Network. Working directly in the financial services industry we understand the need for comprehensive education with regard to financial literacy.

The Saskatchewan Financial Literacy Network was established with the purpose of improving the financial comprehension of Saskatchewan residents. The network is a group of various organizations and stakeholders set on working together to improve this significant problem.

“Developing money management skills is a necessary function in order to make financially responsible decisions that are integral to our everyday lives. Establishing the Saskatchewan Financial Literacy Network is an essential step towards the growth and greater success of our province and PFM is excited to be one of the founding partners of the network.”
